Praying to the Great God Clothes Peg

I was most surprised to see a praying mantis on my clothes line as I was hanging out the washing. It looked exposed and there was nothing edible for it. In I rushed to get the camera and attach the macro lens and was pleased that it was still there when I got back. When I rotated the Hills Hoist to get the little critter into less bright light I think it felt threatened. I think that's why it tried to climb the clothes peg, to get away from me. I left it alone after that and an hour or two later it was gone, I hope not into the stomach of a predator.
