Waiting
Milly the mad Cocker and I went back to the harbour at 5.30 am to plan for the cobb swan's return (See yesterdays blip). We got right out to the end of the breakwater and saw no sign of him out on the waters of the firth. We started to make our way back up river to where the penn is on the nest when we saw these 2 sat on the rocks in the river waiting on the tide. It was nearly full and they were getting ready to fish the harbour area. I had reset the camera for focusing on static subjects (centre) and was engrossed thinking the cobb was not coming in now. You guessed it. He landed just opposite the cormorants with a great fantail as he skidded onto the waters surface. Some more strategic planning I think.
