Flower Friday
We saw this pretty Hawaiian Hibiscus on our walk this morning. Thanks, Anni for reminding us to find a flower to Blip on Friday.
Today we enjoyed a nice breeze as we lay around the room; the view is interesting and varied. We overlook the ocean and a private lagoon so we see the water activity, everything from swimming/snorkeling to kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, rafts, and other water toys.(see extra photo) The marina, which is on the other side of the Lagoon, is a busy place where boats are coming and going. The air is beautiful with blue skies and white puffy clouds. We see the Helicopter and plane tours flying low over the shoreline and the parachute passengers flying high above the speeding boats. The surfers are hopeful as they sit on their boards waiting for a suitable wave, but their successful rides are few and far between.; the big waves are on the other side of the island. The sandy beach is being enjoyed by sunbathers and those in the shade of umbrellas in comfy chairs; children are building sandcastles and all ages are in the ocean. I enjoy hearing the laughter of all below, but I am especially happy to see and hear a group of teenage boys playing ball in the lagoon...enjoying being childlike and carefree! Life seems "normal" again here on the Hawaii beachfront.
