Concle Walk

Sunny. We decided to drive to Rampside and walk along the coastal path which starts by the Concle pub.
The pub was open but we didnt go in. The place is quite timeless..in that it is more or less exactly the same as it was well over 50 years ago.. when I first went in with friends for half a lager and lime!

The sun was quite warm but we thought the path would be sheltered part of the way as  the trees and shrubs were overgrown last time we were there. But they have been cut right back. It was needed.

The tide was in so there was a freshness to the air, coming off the water.  We more or less had the place to ourselves apart from the occasional lone cyclist who kindly slowed down as they passed us.

The gorse was magnificent and the air was full of its coconut like smell.  The  colours of Ukraine

We decided to walk back  along the beach which at the moment is more pebbles than sand. A while since we've walked that way.
