The school run

I often take a picture when we do the Wednesday morning school run but today we couldn't get into our usual street due to the works going on there.  Instead we parked a street away where, surprise, surprise there was once again a parking warden! We did however find the last 'legal' space and took an alternative route home where I took this not very good phone pic.  Featured is Earl's Path pond.  You can see Mr Mallard but not his Mrs, who carried on snoozing the whole time I was there.
This path leads on to the pond at Strawberry Hill, which we did not visit as we had to get home for a telephone appointment.  I gather that some episodes the 3rd series of The Witcher were filmed there and they had cut down shrubs and bushes, even building a bridge to the island where birds are nesting.  Perhaps it's just as well that we went straight home today!
