All good things must come to an end!!

Here are the last of our Alderney trip (hooray I hear some of you say!). We were meant to come back by boat but it has engine trouble and not going to be sorted for at least 2 weeks! We had to come home by air but that was all amicably sorted! We were due to fly at 6.15pm but had a call to say they had to medivac a patient from Guernsey to Alderney which would put the afternoon schedule out so could we take the 4.30pm instead. You can’t help a medivac situation so we agreed. Got to the airport at 4 and finally flew back at about 6pm! Our travel has been jinxed, but we’ve had a wonderful weather, great accommodation, good meals and time together! We’ve had breakfast on our decking each morning which was lovely. Today we visited the Alderney Nunnery which also has some Roman walls and remnants from the WW2. It was very interesting. We then had our picnic sat in the grounds of a fort. So grateful for these times we have! See a couple in extras.
