The Diana statue…

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch with friends this morning. Tomorrow they are off on the Orient Express to Venice….An amazing birthday treat organised by a daughter for her mother. Something Megan knew her dad would love to have given her.

So we’ve taken the opportunity to stay a night in London ( long story) and today we’ve been tourists in our own capital city. It’s been great! We’ve wandered around Kensington Gardens and seen the Diana Statue in the sunken garden, and had an impromptu afternoon tea at The Pavilion. We’ve sat in the front seats on the top of a bus and viewed the sights on the roads to Trafalgar Square where we’ve done more wandering.

We’ve been given a complimentary upgrade in our hotel and spent our “coins” in the bar.

Tomorrow… who knows?! Many gratefuls today.
