Back to barracks….

We caught the guards returning to barracks this morning after the changing ceremony. We heard them before seeing them. Big preparations for the platinum jubilee celebrations meant Buckingham Palace was pretty well inaccessible. A shame for real tourists.

We treated ourselves to an open top bus tour which also included a short boat trip from the Tower of London to Westminster Bridge. The weather today was perfect for both of these.

It’s been a great weekend and we are very grateful to have had the opportunity to be out and about in London. And, after catching the 5.25 fast train from Victoria, we were home in 45 minutes!

Lovely Zoom time with my sisters this evening. Valerie is doing OK…. Doing less, but doing OK.
