Stonehenge
As we are in this part of the world and Stonehenge is very topical at present we went off to do things neolithic. It was a good time to visit as tourist numbers are still very low, a few Germans and Americans and domestic tourists but no throngs of people. It was in fact very peaceful with the predominant sound being skylarks. We also went along to two other sites - Darrington Walls which are huge earth works and a woodhenge which is made up of 6 concentric circles of concrete posts (the wooden ones having long perished).
We stopped on the way home at a trout fishing farm and bought some smoked trout for supper, delicious.
