Plucking Pigeon

I've decided to post this image as it captures the beautiful, soft, fresh, green of young ash leaves against the sky. This is a fleeting phenomenon, it won't be long before all the spring leaves become leathery and dark. A wood pigeon was plucking and eating them.

I was excited to spot a couple of fairy longhorn moths. I love these. Unfortunately my image, though nicely in focus, was taken at the wrong angle to capture the beautiful iridescence on the insect's wings. I hope to get a better shot to post in the coming days.
