Lochnagar

A dreich day today. So I decided to bike and put in some training for the SW300 cycle tour a friend and I are doing in June. It was a good circuit - 40 miles and 800m of climbing. Taking in Loch Muick and sort of bird of Lochnagar. A cruise past Balmoral Castle - sudden appearance of tourists. Then up and over a rather fine pass to nearly 500m and back round taking in the Pass of Ballater - which I was somewhat relieved to discover was entirely downhill for me! The extra shows a little wrinkle on my route where things on the ground were not quite as portrayed by the OS.
