Yayoi Kusama

We’ve had a wonderful day in London, despite our late night with Chloe and Graham.

We got the bus from Green Lanes to the river and had a walk through Borough Market, via the Golden Hind and the Globe and across the wobbly bridge to St Pauls.

We were in time at the Tate Modern to have a wander before our timed tickets for Yayoi Kusama’s infinity mirror exhibition. Only 6 were allowed in at a time to the 2 rooms. The first was chandeliers and the second lights that changed colour and were reflected not only by mirrors, but also by water on the floor. I found it disconcerting to have the narrow walkway to focus on while at the same time keep moving and looking at the lights. It was magical but 2 minutes was too short to get immersed. (Fortunately I did not get immersed in the pool).

We got a bus back which took an hour to get to Clissold Park in Hackney to call on Anna for a welcome cup of tea. Mr C went back to relax in the garden. Poor Graham was still busy with Ofsted.

Now we are ready to go off out to meet Tracey in Holborn for a curry.
