In the back green

What a difference from yesterday when it just rained and rained and rained.

This morning we went off on a little adventure and walked for more than seven and a half miles.
This morning's walk took us through the grounds of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, (I was really, really naughty because I went off chasing bunnies and I didn't come back as soon as I was called) up Craiglockhart Hill, through Colinton Dell, Redford Woods, Colinton Mains Park and Braidburn Valley Park. It was the most fabulous walk ever.

This afternoon we trekked over to see Ann's friends, Susi & Gaynor. The humans sat in the 'back green' drinking wine and I got tied to a clothes post.
These tenement flats were built around the late 1800s and we think that this clothes post, (that I was tied to), was from around the same time.

One of Gaynor's neighbours came out and asked Ann how she'd trained me just to sit in 'good dog mode' while tied to an 1870s clothes post??? Well, it's not exactly like I could go anywhere was it? And then another neighbour came out with his fluffy cat on a lead?!! (see extras).

I'm not interested in cats. They're not exactly the speediest animals in the world are they? The only things that I'm interested in chasing are squirrels and bunnies.

We've been home for a few hours now and we're both very tired.

Toodles. xx
