Commonwealth War Graves - Day 1

Mrs S was day off and opted to stay home and slay the laundry monster. Sam and I set off for a day covering the six cemeteries I already look after. It’s a great way to spend a day, good exercise and rewarding.
We picked a circular route starting at Perranarworthal, onto St Michael’s at Ponsanooth, over the road to Ponsanooth Methodist Chapelyard, St Laudus at Mabe next then St Mawnan & St Stephen at Mawnan Smith before finishing at St Gluvias in Penryn.
When visiting them previously I gave every memorial for which the CWGC is responsible a locater using “What Three Words” so now, if I didn’t already know where they are, I could walk straight to them.
All except the one grave in the Ponsanooth Methodist Chapelyard which cannot be located due to the encroaching undergrowth.
Before the final visit of the day, St Gluvias, Sam and I stopped for a late lunch, coffee and a sandwich, it’s good to have some Dad-Daughter time.

Home, showered, shaved, dressed in blazer and tie and I set off to Princess Pavilion for the Falmouth Mayor Making ceremony, an enjoyable evening and the opportunity to catch up with friends.
