Whitehaven

Drove south for a met up with a new pal K who I met on a walking holiday last year. First time we’ve got together since then so hoping the hills of Cumbria will delight us.
Whitehaven was a side visit and a chance for K’s dogs to stretch their legs on the beach.
Then on to Ennerdale and navigating the windy, bumpy road to the youth hostel for a 2 night stay. Fabulous place - magical spot in the hills with total peace and quiet, apart from the many birds gathering at the feeders outside. No phone signal, no wi-fi. It’s a small hostel, so just a few in for the night - and chance to chat and find out what they are all up to.
