Ramblers

Another gorgeous day spent pottering and sitting in the sun.
Our next door neighbour is moving and had lots of indoor plants he needed to get rid of and he said if he couldn’t find someone to take them they would have to be binned. I put a post on our community FB page for him and someone came almost immediately and took them. I couldn’t bear to think of them going in the bin.
Not much else happened today.

Ramblers

There they go the ramblers
up and down our street
to and from the moors
sturdy boots on their feet
Nordic walking poles and
rucksacks on their backs
water and picnics therein
along with Pac-a-Macs
some have map and compass
some just follow behind
all are chatting and smiling
it’s good for body and mind
if they see me in the window
I give them a wave and a smile
these rambling men and women
who walk mile upon happy mile
