The Black Horse

Our local is only 2 minutes away. It’s a lovely, welcoming and friendly place.
I don’t go there very often, it’s usually Frank and Bella who are regulars there but I went with them and had two halves. It was early so not many people in, it will be full by now.
It’s been mainly dull and raining on and off today.
I’ve had a relaxing day apart from cleaning the kitchen floor and hoovering.
Frank had choir this morning and his jam night friend was here this afternoon to play guitar practice their songs.
We’re watching an old b/w film tonight - Passport to Pimlico.
Tomorrow we are going to the boat for a few days. 

Amelia passed her grade 3 Figure Skating Exam yesterday and has another competition tomorrow in Dundee.
Lucy has decided not to carry on with ice skating lessons and wants to do gymnastics instead. Such busy girls.

We went for a beer at the local
such a welcoming place to go
everyone starts a conversation
even those you don’t know
Frank is well known for his music
and Bella gets treats off the bar
even if you don’t go that often
everyone knows who you are
I only wanted a half a pale ale
and it went right to my head
so I had a half a bitter then 
it was time for home and bed.
