Madresfield

A trip out this afternoon (with the hazelh's) as Madresfield Court's garden was open for the NGS - all 69 acres of it - though most of it is wild-flower meadow at this time of year.

Now, we have a large cedar in our garden.  Madresfield has an avenue of them. The scale of the place is huge but what's more impressive is that there are just four gardeners and a couple of helpers.

The house is itself just plain over-the-top.

Had a bit of a play with some of the camera's filters.  Some worked (in my opinion) in adding some interest to the image; other's definitely didn't.
