Gardening

Early run for me with the dog and home to a bbq breakfast.  A few lovely hours of gardening and lunch outside.  The youngest finally decided he would get dressed so that I could take them to the woods to do some den building and walk the dog. 

Home for roast lamb and a new rice pudding recipe (made withe milk, condensed milk (!), cinnamon and cardamon). The eldest said it is a 'keeper' - the boys have the left-overs for some of their packed lunch tomorrow. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
Getting out early before it got hot 
The youngest and his sense of humour, he came out in my wellies to help with packing the bin down, pretty smart thinking as we were trimming the hedge and it has lots of thorns 
The eldest who cooked the eggs and bacon on the braai by himself
