Is it really the end of May?

Or have I been asleep for 4 months and it is now Autumn?
I took Bella May to get some veggie dog chews today, 2 pet shops were closed on Tuesdays and I had to drag her away from the doors - she would not move! In the end we walked round to the big store which is always open and I bought them there. I just like to support the small shops.
Cold, windy and torrential rain today. We managed to take the boat as far as Snaygill though in the dry bit, I wanted to go to a shop I have seen advertised a few times - Namaste a fair trade shop. I wanted to find a throw for the sofa but could we find the place? No. We spent ages wandering round the industrial estate across the main road where it is meant to be but no sign of  it.
Oh well, we spent the afternoon cosy with the stove lit.

I watched the news which is all about BJ but also there was a report on China and their barbaric treatment of the Uyghur people. Why do some people think they have the right to control other people’s lives through cruelty and torture. Nobody should be allowed to rule someone else’s life.
Marc and I were on the phone today talking about the world and all that is going on. He gets quite worried about it all and I told him it’s important look after himself, his family members and friends and the environment round about him. He’s thinking of doing a course at his local college, he hasn’t studied anything before but is very interested and inquisitive about the world, its people and politics. He has always done car mechanics and welding but has had enough of it and has been out of work for a while.
He was saying there are lots of Ukrainian women and children in his block of flats in Coatbridge. 

Now the sun is shining at 8.15pm!
We’ll be watching the 2nd part of Silent Witness tonight.

Dear Citizens of the United Kingdom

I wish to apologise again profusely
for my appalling lies and behaviour
and my shamefully poor leadership 
since becoming Prime Minister 
of our great and glorious country.
