Coco

I had a nice day of dotting about Dar es Salaam, drinking fresh passionfruit juice, browsing bookshops and spotting homeware places to pick up some items once I’ve found a place to live.

Late afternoon I went to Coco Beach, which was emptying after being packed out by Tanzanian day trippers. Ice cream vendors pushed their carts along the sand, looking for their last sale. And young Tanzanians posed for selfies in their quest to become social media influencers.

Also, Dar es Salaam has a multitude of crows. More than I’ve ever seen elsewhere.
