Kiswahili

I am looking forward to learning Swahili, as Portuguese was a very enriching part of life in Mozambique. Swahili also appears to be much simpler grammatically so it would be good to focus on conversational skills over repetitive grammar exercises. Today I met up with my future teacher Yusuf so we could set up a schedule and so he could bestow on me a serious looking burgundy exercise book. He’s now messaging me in Swahili which I think he knows I can understand zero of, but is a sneaky immersion technique. Yusuf is going to be a handful.
