I'm no food stylist
...but I did make these gf choc chip cookies! Stayed at home and opened the apothecary, by which I mean that I made some rose face creams, lavender and frankincense hand cream, cream for dry skin, and Bach flower remedy mixes. I have not done that for ages! It's very slow work, but satisfying.
Then I hung out the washing, changed the cat litter, had lunch (home made soup), made some cookies, packed up my stall goods, paid for my July holiday (Lake District weekend). Finally I made the call I'd been dreading all day. It paid off. Our fixed term energy deal for gas and electricity is coming to an end. I've managed to get us on to another one for one year. This means that although we'll be paying about £90 per month more for our fuel from next month, we won't be hit with another rise in October (For those that don't know, the UK experienced massive price hikes in energy from late last year, with even more people seeing an increase in April this year. Another price hike has just been announced for October '22, of around £1,200 per household. I gather that this exponential rise in domestic fuel prices is global, and has multiple causes, so I don't think it's news to anyone reading this. I'm recording my concerns for history).
Then CleanSteve and I loaded up the car and went down to the market hall where we set up our stalls for tomorrow. Came home, and I heated up some risotto. Now we are watching Who do you think you are?
To think that I'd planned to go for a long walk as well! How many hours are there in a day? Who do I actually think I am?
