Deer amongst the cottages
A sunny day! We were up early and caught the ferry for the short trip to Jura. We drove along the one road following the coast looking for otters (no luck).
The road then went over moorland where we had two sightings of eagles and one of a male hen harrier.
We stopped at a river for our sandwiches then drove the rest of the road avoiding the many potholes. It was pretty with little bays. We returned the way we had come (no choice with one road) which is where we saw these photogenic old cottages with a number of deer wandering around. There are many more deer than people there!
We caught the ferry back. The extra is of the Paps of Jura, the island's three mountains and one of a rainbow over the sea on Islay..
