LaLa Art

We popped into LaLa Café in Parnell for a coffee this afternoon, expecting to hear live jazz.  Unfortunately, I was told it started at 1pm whereas, in fact, it finished at 1pm.  Next Sunday!

There are some interesting pieces of art on the walls at LaLa, three of which feature in today’s blip. I couldn’t get close enough to check out the names of the artist/s as people were sitting at the tables in front of them.

The extra is the gloomy outlook from our balcony just after 1pm this afternoon. There is a heavy rain watch, a severe thunderstorm watch and a strong wind watch in place for Auckland over the next 24 hours.

There are 4,841 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 6,904 compared to 7,863  last Sunday. The number of people in hospital is 383, including 4 in ICU. Another 9 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,149 and the seven-day rolling average to 14.
