Time for Reflection

Carl's mum died in October 2020 and attendance at her funeral service in St Matthias's Church in Killiney was restricted because of Covid. A Service of Remembrance and Reflection took place in the church this morning. Carl and I were there. Thirteen families in the parish suffered deaths during the time of the pandemic, each of which was represented today. The central part of the service was the lighting of a candle by each family's representative. It was a deeply moving experience, simple but effective.
