Good journey

Feel like we have been traveling all day as we called in to see my youngest brother and his wife. The roads were very busy, dry slow on M1 and then trucks on the minor roads across the hills. Turned out it was Truckfest near one of the villages we drive through.
Lots of caravans and motorhomes on the road.
Got to cottage, unpacked, coffee and out for our usual arrival walk. Lots of Lapwings and they were not happy about a couple of large birds in the field.
There was a lady sitting on the bench at the top road reading.
We had a quick chat and walked on.
The lady next door has lots of bunting in the garden and Hetty took offence when it caught her eye,
Daughter sent photo of grandson as he was wearing a lovely new cardigan.
