Blackford Hill

Afternoon walk up Blackford Hill from the North side, then down by the new and old Observatories to the burn. People and dogs and children enjoying playing in the stream. Tremendous views all around from the trig point and the viewpoint at the top. 

Sunday scones : The Coffee Lodge at the West side sold us tea, but was out of scones. They had made their usual 60, and sold them all. Texting to reserve scones is a thing, they suggested for another time. We walked back up Morningside, bought scones from Andante to eat at the flat. Big, moist, and would buy again.
