Wednesday: The Senate

Thank you for all your well wishes yesterday.  K. is doing fine although she was a bit apprehensive when out and about in the same area today.

I’ve been working in the office the past few days.  One advantage is definitely being able to pop across the road to Tim Horton’s and order one of their very fine double-doubles (coffee with double cream, double sugar).  I will definitely miss those when we depart these shores.

I was back at the dentist today.  I’d been referred to a specialist for him to check some work that was done seven years ago and has never been a problem.  He suggested redoing the work for no other reason that it ‘might’ become a problem several years down the road.  It’s for something I’m not covered for so it would have cost me the princely sum of $2,000.  I told him I didn’t want to go down that road and he became really quite curt and hostile about it.  Probably because he saw $2000 disappearing in front of his eyes.  I was actually pretty annoyed about how he was trying to pressure me into something that really wasn’t necessary.
