Exploring Perth and Dundee

A touring day and we began in Perth at the museum there. (Extra). An excellent collection which focused on the history and natural environment of Perth. After lunch we headed to th port city of Dundee.  The new V&A there is a stunning piece of architecture.  Right next to it is HMS Discovery which took Scott and Shackleton to the Antarctic in 1901.  We also drove by the HMS Unicorn, an historic 200 year old ship.  We finished the day with a drive up The Law for its panoramic view of the river Tay as it enters the North Sea.  In the evening we watched the opening day of the Platinum Jubilee  on the television.  What an event for Queen and country.
