Gerbers
The forecasted severe storm last night produced no hail and lighter winds than we expected. We are usually blessed with good weather even when there are storms all around us. Our day was pretty quiet. My sister and I coordinated a menu/grocery list for our nephew’s visit to our mother’s next week based on his wife’s input. We’ll shop this weekend so everything is fresh. Hubby went down to scope out the camper ladder installation. It did not take him long to realize they sold him the wrong one. He’s just going to use an extension ladder to climb on the camper and send the other one back. I’m thrilled. I had grand puppy sitting duty for awhile. Kristen has several hanging baskets and potted plants. A few flower stems broke off during the storm last night even though they’d moved them to a somewhat protected area. I chose these Gerber Daisies that withstood the wind to show off today. Hubby cut our grass and we put up the hot air balloon string lights and tiki torches on Kim’s deck for an early birthday gift. We were short two torches so we will finish the project this weekend. She loved them. Hot air balloons are her favorite decoration. It’s time to do a bit of housework since we’ve been out and about all week. Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe. No news today. Thanks for the visit. “It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike; it may be that God makes every daisy separately, but has never gotten tired of making them.” – Gilbert K.
