York day 2 Whitby

This morning, despite a cloudy weather forecast, we travelled to Whitby. It was sunny and a bit chilly when we arrived but it soon warmed up and we had a fantastic day. We walked up to the Abbey, down to the lighthouse on the East Pier, around the shops, across the bridge, enjoyed a waffle on the Khyber Pass (highly recommended), walked up to the Captain Cook monument and the whale arch, went down on the beach, up to the beach huts, along the Cleveland Way to the golf course, back along the North Promenade and Khyber Pass, we did a bit more shopping and finally caught the bus back to the Park and Ride! My little legs were nearly dropping off after all the walking but we had a great time. Thanks for the recommendation Mambo.
When we got back to York, we ordered a Domino's pizza and rushed over to Matt's student house just as it arrived.
