Saturday: Tim Hortons

I do wish we could have been in the UK for the platinum jubilee.  We’ve seen some of it from afar but there hasn’t really been anything here to mark it.  It would have been nice to share in the atmosphere.

We took the bus down to Old Ottawa South today and went for a walk in the neighbourhood, as well as having lunch out.  We’ve both been in a bit of a garlic haze ever since.

One thing we have to love here is Tim Hortons coffee, particularly the double double - double cream, double sugar.  You can also get a triple triple but that feels a step too far…….

I finished ‘Americanah’ by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie today.  One of the best books I’ve read in ages.
