Wanderings and meanders

Heron

Water of Leith, by Currie

A beautiful warm day.  Pottering start then a good afternoon walk on paths which were quieter than we had expected them to be on such a nice day.  Even had dinner in the garden, two weeks running.

The bright flashes around the heron are insects, lots of them moving about on the river and in the fields.  Swallows over the fields, a variety of fledglings in the hedgerows and even spotted a wren's nest, as the chicks were being fed.
