Disused Railway Structures #5
This old railway bridge abutment and wing wall used to carry the Crossgates (Leeds) to Wetherby line over the farm track which is now a bridleway. I think it is amazing that it is still standing after almost 150 years and despite having been left to ‘rot’ for the last 50 of those. The remnants of the track bed (either side of this gap) is now a footpath / bridleway as well and runs through some amazing cuttings and along tall embankments. The cats are still hiding….
