Lichen

A warm and sunny day…at last!! I did cut the daisy/buttercup field that passes for a lawn in our back garden…I also shaved the front moss patch. Less than one box full of clippings for the bin…there has been no significant rain for weeks so it has all  stopped growing. Our water butts are now empty….  :-(


On my walk this afternoon I spotted this glorious orange lichen on a blue gate bar … loved the colour combination. I think it is  Xanthoria Parietina
