Kiwi climbers

I have tried growing kiwifruit in the back garden and failed so I'm trying again on the allotment...

I've just got a 'Ken' red kiwi and an 'Issai' kiwi. It's not a good time for planting and I still need to decide on their location so I've potted them up in large containers by the compost heap for now and I'll plant them out in the autumn. 

If you're wondering what's under the cloche, it's a 'Noir de Carme' melon.
