American author visits studio

Delighted to welcome best selling American children’s author Shelley Pearsall to my studio during Open Studios. She is currently on tour in Scotland with her British husband, Mike.
 
I happened to show her a sculpture I made in a Paolozzi Masterclass,
not expecting either of them to recognise the name of this Scottish/Italian sculptor but they had recently visited the Dean gallery in Edinburgh and saw his work. So I gave her a copy of my book based on my ten days in his Masterclass, the last he ever did.
 
 Felt chuffed when she asked me to sign it.
