pea and bean

My first summer risotto...peas, broad beans, courgettes, spinach, lemon and mint.

Not my own produce (yet) but still special. I like to sit outside to pod the peas and beans; it reminds me of being a little girl. Then the process of cooking the risotto slowly, adding the stock and stirring gently all the time. Very satisfying.

It was also the perfect way to calm down from a very busy day at the cafe and a weekly shop.

Now for a walk :-)
