Summer!

Too tired to write!
Took Bella walkies this morning.
Weeded the garden and planted more seeds including French beans as the slugs ate the first lot apart from two! Sowed more carrots and the Nasturtiums I forgot to sow.
Chatted to neighbours, the surprise wedding baby that I told you about last week is doing well and doesn’t need a heart op, he will be getting home soon :-)
Sat outside and it was hot!
Played uke
Wrote poem.
Now book and bedtime.

Summer - please stay!

Glorious Summer are you here to stay
or are you just teasing us for a few days?
The children are outdoors having fun,
the garden has flourished under the sun.
The bees are buzzing from flower to flower
gathering gold dust in the daylight hours,
roses and honeysuckle adorn the fences,
the beauty and scent filling our senses.
Oh Summer, please stay with us a while
the garden needs you and you make us smile.
