Echinacea

I've managed to grow this echinacea from seed over 2 years - out of 6 seedlings, which turned into 4 plants last year, only one has survived and bloomed.

It's hard work growing echinacea in heavy clay, when you have a lot of slugs and snails around!

But I'm not giving up - a friend gave me a Sarah Raven packet of 'White Swan' echinacea seeds and I've got 8 seedlings in the greenhouse. If at first you don't succeed...
