Wildlife in and Around the Garden
This morning I walked Elvis and started with wildlife pics early. The main is of the nest that was used a month ago. The birds had fledged and we have been in and out since. Then this morning, I was putting away the ride-on mower and a redstart started tut tutting me inside the outhouse. Confused, I took a pic over the beam to see what she was tutting about. This was it. She had laid a second clutch and is not happy that we are back. Ride-on mower and bikes now moved out and we will see if she goes back to them. In extras, the dragonfly was during the walk, then, over coffee, something moved in the garden. Three pheasants had decided that the old bonfire pit was the perfect dust bath. Mr Pheasant looked on while mum and chick threw dust everywhere. Pics of the actual bathing are blipped on Mrs SoL (aka Frenchtoast). Here are mum and chick heading off after a good dusting.
