Beinn Eighe

A weather front passed through overnight so that this morning was actually quite pleasant as I started out from Kinlochewe. I headed north along this track to the Heights of Kinlochewe, and then up Gleann na Muice before taking the right fork incorrectly signposted for the Bealach Gorm. The weather turned for the worse at this point, and it was time for the waterproofs.

Due to the overnight rain, the river in Gleann Tanagaidh was in spate and I didn't quite expect it to be such a tricky crossing. With damp feet, I crossed into the next glen via the Bealach Gorm and headed for the whitewashed Lochivraon cottage and bothy.
