For Lovely Lips

For lovely lips, speak only words of kindness,
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people,
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry;
For lustrous hair, let a child run its fingers through it once a day;
And for poise, walk with the knowledge that we never walk alone.

Today was my old school friend Enid's funeral. The words above were on the back of the order of service. Taken from a letter by Sam Levenson.

I didn't 'get' the rest of the excerpt, but these five lines offer such wonderful advice. I would like to think they form the foundation of my life.
