At the end of the valley
With all the rain from yesterday I thought there was a good chance of mist this morning. Nature didn’t let me down. I headed up Vallunga Langental, gently climbing on the valley floor with high mountains on both sides. I kept going about 4 kilometres through a pine forest and small pastures before breaking out into the head of a horseshoe of mountains. This will always remind me of the morning and the conditions.
We had a lazy day, a bit of mooching around before lunch, then some sunbathing before a storm came through and sent us running for cover. Amazingly, after the storm we witnessed mammatus clouds (see extra), a first for me.
