Pussy Willow

A sure sign that spring is with us as the pussy willow begins to burst forth. I took this on my afternoon walk with the dogs. It's amazing just how quickly everything opens up. One day you hardly notice it as it a tiny bud and the next day its out in all its glory. Worth looking at LARGE just to see the complexitiy of the bloom/fruit (?). I've just checked - the catkin is a flowering spike of the willow tree.
