Beach Hut Beagle, Tankerton

I awoke very early today (before 4.30 a.m.) due to quite severe cramp in my left shoulder. No idea why it suddenly flared up but it is the same shoulder where I badly broke my collar bone a few years ago. I just couldn't get back to sleep so decided it was best to just get up and get on with the day. It was another beautiful summer's morning so me and my brother decided to go for an early (longer than usual) run through the countryside. I, particularly, flagged towards the end but it did really help to revive my spirits.
We then decided it was the perfect day for another micro trip, this time to Tankerton which is just outside Whitstable. Here's some info about it:

Tankerton-on-Sea was a commercial development by the Tankerton Estate Company in the late 19th century, and was designed with a grid of streets leading from the shoreline. In 1890 the Tankerton Estate, including Tankerton Tower, was purchased for development by Charles Newton-Robinson, a road was built, the land was divided into plots and sold at auctions. The Tankerton Estates still exist and are managed by County Estate Agents in Whitstable.

The sweeping bay of Tankerton has many individual beach huts on it's shoreline so I felt I had to include them in today's images. I was very lucky that as I walked along the esplanade I saw this beagle  (on a very long lead) sitting rather majestically between the huts. The first extra, "Beach Hut Surfing", features another striking example and  the second image appeared in front of me as I headed down the shingle to the waves themselves. We had a really enjoyable time and managed to have a beverage in a lovely pub garden on the way home. Perfect.
