Two for tea

I had to tackle my asparagus plants today. They have asparagus beetles on them and if I slack too long the plants really get chomped on. So soapy water bucket in hand out I went.
I am always amazed because I don't really think of the tiny asparagus flowers as bee fodder but they are. There were lots of busy bumble bees zooming around. I went back in and got my good camera and then proceeded to take quite a few pictures just trying to get one in focus. They didn't stay long in one place. When I zoomed in on this photo I realized some sort of shield bug was photo bombing.
Then it was back to picking off larvae and adult beetles... yuck....
