Not A Holly Leaf

I was actually photographing the beetle when the flash of red caught my eye.
It looks like a Holly, but is actually a Mahonia (Oregon Grape) - which has stronger, sharper points. Flipping lethal they are.

I will apologise for the rain ......... I washed the windows today.

Bags sent me a message yesterday .... whilst on route to the airport.
They had noticed a water stain on the kitchen ceiling (the bathroom above had been redone in the not too distant past) and had contacted a plumber. He was coming out today and going to phone me when he was coming round.
I phoned him shortly before 5pm.
It was painfully obvious that he had forgotten (not a good sign).
It will be tomorrow afternoon now.
He will phone me............
