Glancing up
I was stirring mushrooms for lunch when I happened to look out of the kitchen window, which normally gives a very limited view of the trees, and I chanced upon this gorgeous bullfinch. He stayed put just long enough for me to get the camera and bag a hasty blip, through two lots of glass however.
The weather has deteriorated this afternoon and there is no chance that I will be venturing out.
It was good to catch up with son number over breakfast. Since they moved to Dunblane last week I've seen more of him than in the last few months when he was 15 minutes walk away. He does a regular shift with the EMRS trauma team based at the airport and stays here when he is on call. Spending time with both sons separately in one week must be a record.
